When Lamb meets Banana

What happened when lamb meets banana?

The answer is Super Lamb Banana!!

What the heck is that? An animal? Maybe. Some kind of fruit? Not exactly. A mutant? Possibly. Modernized dinosaur? Err…could be.

Moons ago I would have laughed my head off upon hearing this….funny, bizarre, weird, cute,… whateva name.

Call me (or yourself) shallow or call it lame. Go on, pick one. *Melissa whispers: I would suggest you go for the former. You see I am a person who live by the laws and obviously do not want any troubles. The truth will reveal itself soon :p * Just a bantering remark, don’t take it too seriously folks. :)

It is a sculpture that represents the city of Liverpool, just as how Kuching is symbolized by cat. It was created by a Japanese artist Taro Chiezo back in 1998 as a warning against the dangers of genetic engineering, and at the same time reflecting the cheerful, lively and dynamic side of Liverpool city.

So from a scientific point of view, it is a mutant, a cross between a lamb and a banana. But worry not it seems VERY unlikely to happen in real life. *Phew*

From an artistic perspective, it is….an ART piece that serves a special purpose.

Being crowned the European Capital of Culture 2008, Liverpool has located more than 100 of S.L.B. replicas throughout the city in June.

Check out the collage of S.L.B. images on KyuKhoo's Photoblog
